Organized in partnership with the Museum and the Museum of the Presidency of the Abbot of Nadir Afonso Baçal exposure: Absolute maintains, in essence, the core of the works presented in the exhibition commemorating the life and work of the artist held in collaboration with the Foundation of Nadir Afonso December 2010 and June 2011 at the Palacio de Belem
The architect, essayist and painter Nadir Afonso, born in Clark, in 1920, developed throughout his creative life, a work useful and unique, unmistakable in the landscape aesthetic, philosophical and contemporary art.
Exposure Nadir Afonso - 2010 Absolute presents eight works by the master considered as determinants in his artistic career, one for each decade of creation, from the 1930s to the present. Are also shown about 150 drawings and unpublished studies that document the artist's creative process.
The painting of Nadir Afonso was immortalized not only in screen, as in several other media, presenting in this exhibition, some pieces of tapestry, ceramics, illustration of this plurality. Also on display, many bibliographic copies of his vast work in the field of philosophy and art theory.
